The word ‘labour’ itself spells success - or at least is the stepping stone to achievement. In order that a person embarks upon a successful career, he or she should definitely know the rudiments of the trade. A simple example would be that of a housewife - a woman who is willing or who doesn’t hesitate to do even the smallest job that a home demands is often the most adored wife and mother; not to mention that she is the most respected employer - under whom servants are willing to work - not for the money offered but for the sake of the work itself. Servants are efficient only when the mistress is knowledgeable and smart. A successful tailor keeps the show going, even if his craftsmen remain absent.
We should therefore understand that no job is menial. With a positive frame of mind, one should get down to work with ones own hands - notwithstanding any status or position involved. It would do well to remember that money, status and position do not come overnight. A lot of hard work goes into achieving this ‘cream of life’.
At the work place, a senior who is able to work shoulder to shoulder with his subordinates is respected and greatly admired. He is looked upto for advice. This guarantees his elevation in the corporate ladder.
Dhirubai Ambani laid foundation to the ‘Reliance Group of Industries’ with a mere Rs.500 and valuable hard work as investment. We need to teach our children the fundamentsls of ‘hands on’ experience. They should be taught the dignity of labour right from childhood. This way they will learn to empathise with servants and other people who are there to help them. We as responsible parents, citizens would be thus building a new India.

Thanks for going thru the write-up. Nothing succeeds like success. The path however is not strewn with roses. This is just what I wanted to put accross.
